Default Transmission problem...

so my car has been in a pretty shitty mood lately...now the problem is that the transmission is over revving. Under normal/harder driving conditions, after the 1sdst three grears, i shift into fourth and get on the gas and sometimes the engine revs from about 2500 all the way to 4500k without the car really accelerating...then comes the lovely burt clutch smell.....thoughts? do i need new trans. fluid? gah i hate this car.

You might want to check your brake fluid levels, because that's what the clutch draws from.

o my goodness... lol tranny fluid will not solve your problem.

your clutch is slipping, which means its on its way out. I hate to break the news but its time for a new clutch, trust me I know what im talking about also, theyre is absolutely no other possible problem, its your clutch. 100% positive.

go to ebay and find a cheap oem clutch, or if you wanna upgrade theres so many out there, it just depends on the type of power you want it to hold.

Sounds like time for a new clutch. Do not put DOT 5 in the brakes. I believe that it takes Dot 4(+), at least B5s do. Dot 5 is not compatable.
