Default trottle position sensor??? eh?

Hi,

I was getting a bad idle where the revs drop very low... so i followed instructions on vag-com which where as follows

Turn the key on but do not start the car.

[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Group 098 (Note: use Group 001 for ADY engine code)
[Go!]
[Switch to basic settings]
Once you do this you will see the top right display say ADP RUN. The TB adaptation is being done as soon as you switch to basic settings. You will see the values change and hear the TB cycle for the first few seconds then it will stop. Leave it in Basic Settings for about 30 seconds.
[Switch to Meas. Blocks] button and you're all set.

---------------------------------------------

But when i switched to basic settings it gave an error... now i get this fault code?

00670 - Throttle Position Sensor (G127)
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

any tips people?

turn the key and let it sit for at least 3 minutes. You should hear it clicking.

The last click before you start the engine.

hi,

I'm getting the same issue here, as my battery has just died. My warm idle revs are around 550 and the car keeps feeling like its about to stall when i'm at traffic lights.

So i guess i need to do a throttle body alignment, i have a vag-com but just to clear things up, are you saying that by turning the key and letting it sit for at least 3 minutes will do the same job?

Cheers. Justin.
