Trouble starting 98 A4
I have a 1998 Audi A4 2.8 V6 and have tried everything to get it to start. I have posted a link to a video I made trying to start it. It turns over but will not fire or even try to it sounds like, it is getting spark and I recently changed the plugs, wires and coil packs. Before it finally died and would not start again while driving it felt like misfiring and sputtering below 3k RPMs, then once past 3k it felt fine. It finally got to the point where it was always doing it. I also noticed it seems like it's turning over slowly like the battery is weak but it has a decent battery. I have posted the link to the video below hopefully you guys can throw me some solutions or suggestions to get it running again.
I am taking a best guess here. If you are getting spark and fuel then I would say the timing belt went. This would knock the engine out of time and keep it from starting. With your description of it sputtering while driving and then not running it seems to fit as well.
Also, the sound it makes it seems like not the whole engine is turning over. This would also support a snapped timing belt. Open up the oil cap and crank the engine and see if the valves move.
