Hey guys... my 98 A4 is having trouble starting. I can only get the engine to fire if i floor the gas and hold the starter for 30-45 seconds. Once car fires, I can only keep the engine running if i keep flooring the gas. Once car is started it runs fine. Any ideas?

 

When I park my car with the back lower than the front this sometimeshappens.
Check for codes.

 

Could be a bad fuel pump relay, clogged fuel filter, or bad coolant temp sensor. Sounds to me like it's most likely a clogged filter.

 

doesn't sound like a clogged filter, because once the car starts, it runs fine. check for codes.
