BaconBait,
I would say, drop the fuel presure not rise it! More fuel will mean less knok due fuel dump!
Reduce the fuel presure so your Lambra will read close to 0.85 all the way. And then reduce timing advance so lower CR indicated.
This would be good toint to start (safer)

I got nothing. I can't figure out what's happening. I tried 3 different MAF's w/2 different sensors. As soon as the timing retardation looks good the ignition timing goes out the window. It's pissing me off. I also didn't get my boost controller yet.

hmm from what ur logs show, u arent pulling much timing, can u do a longer pull further into the rpm range? Possibly a 3rd of 4th gear pull. Its hard to tell what going on from such a short log. Also you are dbw so u have a map sensor. You will not run rich disconnecting the maf, as the computer will run off the map still. I know countless guys running no maf on vw's.

Also not sure if it applies to you but a lack of timing can also cause extremly high egt's. I saw Arif post that since timing is low, turn up the boost, but u do still hafta be careful with low timing. Timing too high AS WELL as timing too low can cause damage.

Not sure what your schedule is like this week, but I could help u out sometime...although I hafta rebuilt my motor...again

The ignition timing or the timing retard? As soon as I get my mbc, I'll do some more logs.

What's wrong with your motor now?
