You would need some one who is good with B5 to look in to it.
From what i see you have a programming problem.
Your A/F reads below 11 at low RPM under load - this is not right. As full load and 4K RPM you run low 11 AND pull timing due to knock.
This is not right. Get the software sorted out. I do not think this is hardware problem.
Who's chip do you run?
I'm going to try turing the fuel pressure up to see if that helps the timing and A/F. It's currenty at 44 psi.

Bed time.

Not a bad idea. Running closer to 12.5 will allow turbo to spool up faster. Some tuners run lean at low RPM (till 3K) in order to reduce lag of turbo. So may worth try to get 14.5 to start at low RPM with gradual drop and hold @ 12.5 or abouts at max torque RPM. Also loose some timing advance. You runing way to advance for the fuel you have.

And again, I am not a pro, this is only my best guess....

OK so let me clarify.... I don't mean he should run his car without a MAF forever... But if he thinks the MAF is the problem I am telling him that he can unplug it and go for a run.... Yes it will run rich and blah blah.... In five minutes he will be able to rule out one possible source of his problem.

Hear this!!!! --- Plug out the damn MAF completely!!!

I was able to boost the same as with it plugged in.
Thats just stupid.... Dont you know what a MAF does?
I think you don't know what a MAF does........

Some cars run totally MAF LESS. I don't know if the UNI programming is written with some kind of safe mode, but my MAF failed... It gave Signal Too Low code (as good as dead). I then tried to run with the MAF unplugged and it ran exactly the same......
Do you have logs to prove that "it ran exactly the same"????
A maf is used to determine the mass of the air entering the engine. The air mass information is necessary to calculate and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. If you take it out, you are going to run rich no matter what. The ecu doesnt see the signal so it makes sure to add more fuel because it isnt gauging the amount of air flowing which for all it knows could be a crap load of air and make you run lean.. Most ecu's know to add extra fuel if a MAF signal is non existant to prevent it from running lean.. Especially the ecu's that are tuned for forced air induction. Im sure without a maf you are running at least a little rich which in the long term will reduce the life of your cat/02 sensors, and short term hurt your fuel efficiancy.

I agree its not a bad idea for diagnosing.

Keep us updated on what you find out.

It should be easy to track down such a blatant boost problem. Unlike my problem.... I might peak @ 18-20 psi, but I cannot get anymore.... This is harder to track down..... At least I know what the source of my problem is now .....

I disconnected the wastegate vacuum line to confirm the boost controller was causing the boost problem. I have a new one on the way to solve that problem.

Here's the results I got after turning the fuel pressure up to 48 psi.
The second run is a log of driving back home.

Timing CF looks much better. MAF readings still look crappy.

I'm not sure on how to fix the MAF readings. It's still not throwing any codes.

You can try cleaning it with a residue free cleaner (like electronic/electrical contact cleaner) or swapping it out. Do you know the part number for your MAF?

It's brand spanking new. I don't know what the part number is off hand.
