Hey, I have a 1999 A4 1.8tTipQuattro, and I was wondering which turbo upgrade is better the K04 or gt28rs? What are pros and cons for each, what kind of gains should I expect? Thanks.

how much mondy do you have thta you want to spend? what kind of hp numbers do you want. are you ok with more turbo lag?

 

I put a turbo on my search engine, and now it lags so badly that I never use it!

Agt28 might not be the best for our tip tranny. Trust me iv blown mine once already and im not eevn k04 yet. People have said ko4 is the best relible turbo for us auto people. But people out there do have bigger turbos and i guess are fine.

 

K04 it unless you want to put some big upgrade money into your tip.

 

There are a few of us here running K04's on our Tips but not many with anything bigger. I honestly would not run anything bigger than a K04 on a Tip. You may have better luck on www.audiworld.com looking for information about bigger than K04 on a Tip combo's.
