Default TurboXS MBC install

So i just picked up my single-stage MBC the other day and with it was provided a 6" tube and some zip ties. it looks like a pretty easy install overall, but obviously the hose isnt going to go all the way into the car. would i be allowed to get a longer tube and change it from in the car, or am i just going to hafta leave it under the hood? hows hard is the install from 1 to 10? any tips? thanks guys
