Not posted for a good while, but i have a problem in that the gear stick in my car seems to have a noticable vibration when i touch it, and when accelerating in gears it is juddering quite heavily especially in second where this is very noticable. This seems to be getting worse. I'm not having any issues with geear crunching or anything.....could this be the gearbox dying or something more simple? its a b6 TDI 130 (135k miles), the car pedel system has vibration throught the accelrator and the brake as well. so when my foot is on the acceleartor its not very smooth.

Next question is how much would i be looking at for a replacement clutch (fitted) in the uk?
and for a second hand gearbox and for new if anyones had one done?

I'm just preparing for the worst.

I've been told that the gearbox mountings are known to go, could this be something, or maybe a bush in the linkage? im not very good with cars as you can tell...

Would really appreciate any help on this.
