Unchipped = unhappy :-(
New to forums, curious, why would you clear the error codes? would that tell the dealer that your car is/was chipped?
I bought an 05 A4 ultra and am thinking about going APR directport by still questioning whether or not it would cause problems at the stealership here in Sacramento, CA (Niello) If you switch back to stock mode, would you recommend clearing the codes as well?
thanks,

When I first got my GIAC on my b5, I was a little dissapointed. You could only really feel an extra short burst of power in first and second. After about a week though my ecu had adapted and it was very noticeable. Also, if you get chipped in the summer, and you don't have an FMIC, the car can get heat soke quickly and you will hardly know your chipped.

Two basic ways depending on the age of your car:
- Direct Programming. They plug into your OBD port and download the software
- Soldering. You send in your ECU and they remove the factory chip and solder in the upgraded chip.
People have their own favorite chip vendors - see many previous appends on this forum.
