Default vacuum issues

I have a problem with my a4 3.0 I had a camshaft go bad on me and had it replaced and put the timing belt on kit at the same time and when I got the car back I noticed that that it started idling rough and the check engine light came on and started blinking,it had various codes so I started with taking the oil cap off when it was running and noticed that it was sucking air so I pulled off the pcv valve and plugged the inlet and the suction went away,so I assumed that the pcv valve went bad and replaced it.Nothing changed, still running poorly and still sucking air when I pull the oil cap. Took it back to the shop and the guy there could not figure it out and told me some audi's just run that way and now refuses to look at it. any idea's?

The PCV system is supposed to create suction in the cranckase. Let us know what the codes are and we may be able to help.
