I need to buy a new garage door opener, but I was thinking that if i can use my key fob to activate the homelink?! Is there a way to link the two using the vag com? I'll buy the vagcom for at least this purpose. I know its cheaper to buy a garage door opener, but i rather spend the money on a vagcom...

Homelink... you're talking about the thing in the visor? ... I am also confused... the keyfob has nothing to do with homelink, or your garage... :P

And the vag-com is not required to program your homelink --- read your manual.

 

no what i wanted to do it was get my keyfob to actiate my homelink.

like when i press my unlock button on my keyfob, i would like it to activate my garage door opener as well.
