Default Warning light - not in my manual!?

Hey guys,

I was just driving along today when a warning light came on. It looks EXACTLY like the brake light malfunction indicator except without the thing in the middle.

So it just looks like a circle with parenthesis around it.

Anybody have any idea what it means? It's yellow/amber.

I checked my brake lights and they are all fine just to be sure.

For this indicator to come on the connector grounds when the pads are low. There is no sensor. Brake fluid is probably low.

when you buy the new pads the ware sensor as its called is part of the kit, all it is is a length of wire with a plastic end so when the pads get low the plastic end is worn away and puts the light on

I wouldn't call it a sensor, it just grounds to the rotor completing a circuit.

OK so I will check the fluid and if that doesn't work then it is the front pads.

Thanks guys,
Brian
