Default Well, that was a waste of 3 hours...

Damnit.. I attempted to do my tie rod ends tonight since it is going to be the only day above freezing temps for a while and had no luck. The lock nut took forever to break lose and then i just couldnt get the tie rod to unscrew from the inner tie rod (actually 18mm hex bolt used to adjust toe) once i had the two bolts off by the joint. I pb blasted the crap out of it and turned on it for a good two hours. The whole time i wished i had a torch to heat it up, cuz im guessing that will do the trick. Ill have to buy one tomorrow and give it another shot, too bad the high tomorrow is supposed to be only 25 [:@]
The passenger side is where i started and gave up.. We'll see how the drivers side goes tomorrow.
Here is a pic. #1 is the area i was having problems with. Kinda hard to see though.

Pour penetrating oil on them 5 min or so before you reef on them again.

Angle grinder???? If thats some sort of cutting tool, thats not the solution.. The tie rod needs to be unscrewed from where it connects to the inner tie rod. The picture you edited where to chop is not the problem, thats a bolt that gets unscrewed. Im talking about where the tie rod connects on the inside towards the inner TR/steering rack.
