IF you have air tools then an air ratchet and a propane torch is what you need

An Air Ratchet wouldn't solve his problem though, he's talking where the outer tie-rod end screws onto the Inner Tie rod... Heat will work, it does 99% of the time. I have no Idea how many times working at Midas I'd bust out the torch and heat the **** out of those things, just be careful cuz PB blaster is flammable, lol (i just remembered one idiot catching himself on fire there). Heat it up, and turn like hell, it will eventually break loose. Sorry bout the tough luck man!

Yes, you know exactly what im talking about.. Thanks. I actually tried to use a lighter last night to heat it up.... Held it lit on there for about 2 mins-didnt work... I'll post about any progress tonight. Oh and man my tie rods are SO shot! The joint is VERY lose. Im scared to drive home after getting a good look at it last night. My new Meyle one's are so beefy looking and tight.. Cant wait to get them on.

I don't like 'em beefy, but tight is always good! A lighter, lol, Gotta do what u gotta do. Yeah, buy a propane torch, and heat that ****** till its red, then start turning it, it will break free for sure, just make sure not to burn yourself, or have cardboard under the car or anythign that'll catch on fire.

right I got you its the inner part that wont turn like the locking nut, what I do there is tap it with a hammer to loosen the rust then lock the tie rod with monkey wrench put a spanner on the locking nut then clean the rust of the threads with a wire brush then a little heat and it should free up.

you could refit the other end so it doesnt wobble round while you undo the locking nut which should have been done first
