I need to replace this Y shaped hose that holds radiator fluid. It comes out from the top back of the motor. It is out a 01 audi a4 1.8l. I took it off and have tried to order it by the numbers on it, but nothing comes up.. I tried calling the dealership (1hr away) and explain to them what I needed and they couden't understand. I know this is not a very good description but does anyone have any idea of what it's called or a part number. (the part number on it came up with nothing)

 

if you could post a picture of it, that would help a lot. The dealer may be playing stupid to get you to bring your car in.. Dont fall for their stupid shananagans.

make your own up and save money its only a Y piece then fit piping to suit

I will attempt to post some pics, proprably won't be untill tonight when I get home. And as you can see I am new to this forum. Would anyone care to explain to me how to post a pic... As for trying to make my own, I really don't see that happening it is made out of rubber. I would have to find a piece of hose alredy in the shape I need and I am not sure it would would work the heat from the fluid...

 

Ive done loads of them out of polyurethane/copper/steel and they will take the heat of the coolant, go to a heating and ventilation shop and show them the piece you need and regardless of how the Y looks they should match it at a tenth the cost of ready made dealer part

 

a little tip, when looking for parts don't think " CAR " piping is plumbing

Click "click here to upload!" and browse your computer for whrever you saved the pic, then "upload". You may have to resize the pic to get it to 250kb or whatever the max allowed file size is before you upload.
