Got all the stuff installed today. It should stay like that until I can get some carpet to carpet the box and wood. What do you think?

this write up reminded me of when i worked at bestbuy as an installer i was installing a sony xplod amp in a mirage for some girl and i had everything hooked up right i got in the drivers seat to turn it on to tune the amp and i heard this loud poping sound then nothing i looked back to see that the amp had acutally live up to it name it xploded the chrome "X" a cross the front poped off i thought i had done something wrong so i quickly disconnected every thing and got my boss a 10 year vet and he looked at in and said this was the secound amp that he has seen from sony that did that he the went over to his tool box and pull out the same model sony xplod 600 watt amp with the chrome "X" broken off it. he said it scaryed the crap out of him and he kept the amp to find out if it was something that he did or was it a fault in the amp well it turned out that both of these amp had faulty capitors in them that poped for some reason. just a sony xplod story I like to share i wish i had kept the amp but i had to return it for the girl so i could finsh the job.

another thing i did when i was working at soundtrack my buddy that work in the warehouse found a old fosgate sub that had a tear in the cone so we did what is called the 40 hertz hmmm test we took a extention cord cut the female end off and hooked it up the the sub then put it away from us pluged a power bar in to the wall outlet and turned it off then pluged the speaker in and hit the on button on the power bar the speaker made a horiable noise for about 10 secounds then the cone blow up is about 10 different peices then the voice coil starts to burn we shut the power off and looked at the sub it was trashed and suffered a not so pleasent death but it was fun.
