I am in the market to purchase 2006 A4 (automatic) I seen couple ads where it ranges from $16500-23,000. Why is there a such a price gap? Also how realistic is to buy 2006 A4 for $17,000? Or should I avoid cars that's priced below $17,000?

A lot depends on mileage and the engine (1.8T, 2.8T, 3.0). I just bought a 2006 A4 Cabriolet Quattro with the 3.0 liter engine and triptronic transmission that had 35,000 miles on it for 32,000.00 out the door.

 

I was quoted $19,000 out of the door for A4 (34,000) standard option. Is this a good deal? I live in San Jose, CA where tax rate is 9.25%
