whistle around 2000rpm
so, i bought this used a4, 1.8t, quattro, avant, 60k miles, etc... and after driving it with no issues for 3k miles i have this whistle at around 2000rpm. not above, or when accelerating, but 2k and below while on the brakes or just off the gas. found this thread

but i don't think it's quite the same issue, and the OP never responded (that i could tell). took it to my new tech (for a $70 oil change) and he couldn't duplicate the problem. that's because it takes about 20 minutes for it to kick in, then it is persistent.
it isn't the "dentist drill" sound that some people have described as a turbo failing. it is like a whistle, but quiet for a second or two then "chirping" again. anyone else experience this. what is it?
