Default Low power below 2000rpm

Hi,

A few days ago I started experiencing problems with my A5 (3.0tdi 2007) in that it has no power up to 2000rpm, at which point it surges and power is normal from that point. From standing start it takes over 5 seconds to build up any kind of speed. The only way around this is to blip the accelerator to give it some revs before pulling off, this allows me to drive off normally. Similarly, on inclines, I am having to drop down to 2nd as I lose all power when revs drop under 2000.

Initally there were no warning lights, but I'm now getting intermittant DPF light coming on (only on urban roads never on motorway). Much of my driving is motorway and the day before the problem I had covered 150 miles so expect a regen to have occured then.

I've attached the VCDS log (the subwoofer fault can be ignored as I had that disconnected for a new unit.) Not sure if it is relevant, but the DPF fault codes did not appear the first time I ran the scan. However, whilst idling on the drive, DPF light came on and off, then followed by the glow plug light flashing. At this point I reran the scan and got the attached fault codes.

I had a look for the Particulate filter load in VCDS but there was no entry for this. All I could find was..

soot mass measured 34g
soot mass calculated 26g
distance since last regen 43946m

Is the DPF the likely cause or is it more likely to be something related like a sensor malfunction? Any guidance appreciated.

Thanks.
