Why do we put money into our A4's?
It's an addiction. As soon as you get use to what you have, you want more, no matter how much it will cost you. If money isn't an issue or you can easily afford the mods, why not.
heck ya iam going into debt with my audi and iam loving every second of it!! ahah its like my 91 ford sho that runs 14.3s consistintly.. now i wanna go faster and i guess i have to spend more with this audi..iam ok with it....I love cars its justthe way they give you that satisfaction that hey thats mine when your walking up to it in a parking lot of all stock kias and hondas ahah
i never expected to do anything. then, i was like, hmmm $500 for 50hp. that works. now, everything is to enhance that, or my piece of mind, or my stupid friends burning up parts of the car. ironically, i'm going to look @ the saab 9-2x (more luxurious, rebadged wrx). they're cheap as hell here. 2005 for 16k w/under 20k mi. factory warranty and everything. why, cause i thought, "why am i putting another 2-3k into a car w/100k mi by christmas? trade in the audi and that' 2k will knock a year off the loan." love the audi, but we'll see.
lifes short drive fast. thats what i say. ppl ask me all the time y i love spending money on cars, like everyone else said, its an addiction. its less illegal then drugs right? and think about it, girls shop every damn weekend, i wrench my car every damn weekend. i do it all cause i want to, and there is no better feeling then puttin in the work and going out or to a show, and having someone else notice and complement your work and ideas. i put over $5000 into my old pickup after i bought it, with dropping it and making it sound good, then i totled that car(not my fault) and just picked up this car and when i have the money the mods will begin. people say its stupid to start modding another car after all the time and money i spent on the last one, and i just say its stupid to save all of your money cause i coulda died in that accident in a stock truck and never spent any of my money on what makes me happy. its really just one of the most expensive hobbies you can find thats all.
01afour is definately right, I spend all week fixing vehicles that I could care less about, and then go home and be happy under the hood of my car. For me, it builds a sense of accomplishment and pride in the fact that I've created something like this on my own. As far as looking back and wanting to change something, it's as simple as taking off what you've done and starting over. For a real car guy, there is no such thing as a finished project.
