you will never believe this...all it was, was a bad ground wire...i traced it to the frame and it was all rusted so i mounted it by the strut and it started up...unbelievable. Thanks so much for all the help.

krisdebo , I think i have the same problem with my 2.8 ,

how do you get to that box , i cant seem to get the plastic
housing loose underneath the steering wheel ?
