This is the last post I will make concerning this problem but I have made some new discoveries and would like to share them in the hopes that someone could help.

Symptoms:[list=1][*]Left the car for 3 weeks, battery dead.[*]Charged battery[*]Car wont start, turns over and beeps after ~10 seconds.[*]CEL wont turn on w/ ignition[*]Tried VAG-COM with two different systems, only airbags read[*]Tried two ecu's; GIAC and AMS[*]Jumped power relay to ecu and still no start.[/list=1]

So this is where I stand. The only thing I can think of is some sort of wire short in line to the ECU that would cause battery drain and the failure to start.

PS: fuel pump doesnt turn on

Im biting the dust tomorrow and taking it to the dealer if I dont get any leads. Thanks for all the help guys.

 

Im pretty sure a worse electrical problem would to have a short and catch all the wires on fire and burn your car to the ground...... If it were me id take it to the dealer a long *** time ago, elec probs on these damn new cars are so tricky

 

You didn't get your computer wet did you? I knew a guy who lived in Oregon, under a tree... and had an RS6. Come to think of it I wonder who is stupid enough to park their RS6 outside under a tree. But, his tree dumped leaves on his RS6, and the rain got the leaves soggy. Since you don't exactly drive an RS6 every day, he only drove it here and there. One particularly rainy day the RS6 had similar problems to yours. 1200 for the Computer and 1000 in labor and the car ran again... he didn't park under the tree again.

 

have you load tested the battery? when a battery drains, eventually you can't charge it up again...you might just have a dead battery?

 

man that would suck all that work for a dead battery
