I somehow suspected the radio/tape H/U comes with the car is connected to the car computer... am I correct.

Its just a stock B5 2.6 A4 (1996). No VAG/any mod whatsoever.

If I just find someone to install a aftermarket H/U for me, would that cause any problem to the car? Error code or some sort?? Unable to start the car?? Annoying alerts or somthing?

Please help.... I got someone already offered me to do it for a good price but I am not too sure the car computer part.

I've been look thru what I can found on this site but nothing I cover so far has discussion about it.

 

i stuck a clarion mp3 player in no problems with anything i have a 98 a4

i hope they hooked mine up right...another downfall of used cars

 

lol ya thats why i just kept mine stock. i actually prefer it to an aftermarket one cuz it matches better
