wrong timing belt used when replaced
When I had my timing belt replaced on my 2002 A4 quattro, they used the wrong belt. the car had to be towed after breaking down. they then replaced it with the correct belt, however things continued to go wrong from there, check engine light went on several times after for various reasons. Got everything fixed. then, the car started bucking at low RPMs, got a tune up. Stopped for a couple of months. Now, back to the buking at low RPMs and flashing check engine light again.
Question, if the wrong timing belt is used when replacing, can that do permanent damage to the car? If so, what are my options with the garage who replaced it incorrectly?
Thanks,
Sarah
