Agree, they guy probably gets a small kickback for the referal for installing the chip.

With any chip, you may get occasional codes. Invest in a code reader or better a vagcom and a bentley manual.

If a dealer wants to get picky, they can claim that ANY chip will void certain parts of the warranty. Either way, all these chips operate well within the tolerances of the engine's mechanical parts.

I would wait anyway until you have had the car for 6 months or so, just in case there is anything wrong with the car that the dealer didn't tell you about. That way there will be no question about warranty coverage.

You can chip the car any time by taking it to a local tuner. I have had APR on my B5 for 90K miles and I'm now at 172K miles.

How are things in TO? I used to live at Bay and Gerrard before I moved away.

They also give me the neuspeed for $299 also. I don't know. I'll think about it.

They have been full of **** before and probably are again.

TO is alright, just moved here last year.

peoplewere buyingthem. It was like the black top sensors and how they started to fail and went from $13 to $35 to get the newer green top ones. People buy them and then VW/Audi raises the price, good old supply and demand. About the same time they jacked these, they doubled the hybrid oil pans cost also.

A new forge piece is more than $100 by the way.
