My 2010 Audi A5 started to make a popping/cracking sound when i turn the wheel left or right when im not moving or about to drive off and sometimes in reverse....well i found out this issue for some of you people who might be having the same issue.

Took car to my mechanic and i would turn the wheel so he could hear the noise and he said it sounded like a bad ball joint on the passenger side coming from the front forward control arm. I thought the ball joint was attached to the lower control arm but it turns out that the lower front forward control arm sits over top of the ball joint and is held down with a bolt over top so all i had to do was purchase the ball joint ($26 from rock auto online) well i purchased both left and right ball joints to make sure i didnt have the issue from the other side as well......Turns out that SOLVED MY PROBLEM!!!!! no more loud pops and cracking embarrassing me in front of people...that was the worst in this pretty AUDI.

Also i had a creaking sound coming from my strut at the top....i replaced the rubber mount at the top and that solved that issue as well....my car would sound like a creaking Haunted House Door at low speeds....lol
