I'm amazed at the comments I'm already getting from the people I've shown the car to suggesting upgrades and mods. I appreciate the input, but (no offense) the car performs and handles great with the factory setup. It rides like its on a railthrough the corners - verystable with almost nosway. My previous ride was 2000 B5 Passat 2.8L V6Tip so this is a big upgrade for me.Many similarities, but this A6 already comes loadedwith everything I ever dreamed of for upgrading the Passat...and much more. Maybe I'll want upgrades for the A6 later, but right now this is like VW nirvana for me.
As for gas mileage, I also own a '96 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L I6modified for offroad and a '00 Ford Expedition 5.4L V8...... my only expectation is that fuel economy HAS to be better than these two gas suckingbeasts. The Audi is averaging 19.6 mpg on mytwo days of commuting with it so far (includes occasional periods rapid acceleration and excess fuel consumption).
