Default 19" wheel fit on 2000 A6 2.7T

I've been looking for a while for a set of 19" rims for my 2000 A6 2.7T. I would like to put 19X8.5 in front and 19X9.5 in the rear both with a 35mm offset. I've been calling around and looking on the net and no one can seem to tell me if these will fit ( something about the calipers getting in the way on the 2.7T's). The tires would be 235/35/19 in front and 265/30/19 in the rear. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to buy rims that dont fit.

Default 19" on my 2.8q

I slammed a set of 19x8 wheels with 40 mm offset on mine and they fit just rite. I have no idea whether the fitment differs from 2.7t or not. The front is using 235/35/19 and rear is 245/35/19. FYI, I am using a porsche brake calipers on the front rotors and the wheels just barely cleared it (maybe 4 mm clearance). One thing to check tho, whether you have big brake kit ... some wheels does not go with them. And oh .. assumingly the seller mounted and balanced the wheels, check if they are using the clip-on balancing weights (usually clipped on the inside of the rims, near the sidewall). These are really bad on 19" wheels as they only help to balance from the center to the inside of the tires. You should get the stick-on balancing weights that adhere to the center inner wall of the rims (less vibration when driving in high speed). Sadly, i dont know if i can post pics in this forum =) G'luck tho

I can sure do that tomorrow =) Presently, dont have any good pics of the wheels. And oh .. if you happen to have bought wheels that does not fit because of the offset, you can always purchase wheel spacers. I think any good ones should range about $110 for a set of 4.
