Default 1997 A6 Quattro Clock

Hi,

I don't have a book for my car. Don't seem to be able to BUY one.

Since we have changed the clocks, I am JUST 1 hour 2 minutes off. When my mechs finished fixing my car they reconnected the battery 2 hours, 2 minutes early.

How in the hell do I reset the analog clock, the one with hands, in this thing?

Cheers,

George

Left button on dash -the one that adjusts the instrument cluster lights - pullout and turn - right I think -- hold it and the clock will move forward.

Try getting the owners manual from http://www.audi.ddsltd.com/.

NH,

Thank you. I don't doubt you for a second.

BUT, realistically, can YOU make any sense of why in the HELL the leftmost ****, if you want to call that skinny thing such, would control the nearly rightmost guage on the cluster?

My wrecker, sometimes repairman tells me, also, that there is a "locking switch" on the Quattro to lock in either the rear wheels or all 4 wheels in very bad traction conditions. I find no such. Is there one in the book?

Again, mine is the 97 model.

I really do need a book.

Cheers,

George

Why would you expect ANYTHING to make sense on an Audi?
My 95 A6 and 97 A6 adjust the clock the same way...

As for the locker thingy -- The earlier Audis had a button to lock the rear differential - but it would only work up to about 10 MPH and then release. The 97 does not - so your "wrecker guy" is in the wrong decade.
