Default Brake light problem

Recently my brake light "BRAKE" started going on and off. After starting the car and driving for a few minutes it comes on and then goes off again and then it sometimes comes back on but not always. I though I had a low brake fluid and tried to add some but itseems not going in - it just gets stuck on the filter that is inside. The level indicator is definately below "MAX" level but I cant see the "MIN" level. How do you put the thing in ?

Thanks !
K

It may still need brake fluid. I had the same thing happen with my 05 4.2 last week. I stopped by the dealer to have them top off the brake fluid. I watched the tech fill it up and he explained to me that the trick was to fill it to the top and then stick a pen in the fluid and move it around in order to release the trapped air below. Once he used the pen the fluid dropped dramatically. He then repeated the process of filling it to the top and then sticking the pen in and releasing the trapped air. When he was done a brake reservoir that looked to be about an 1/8 of an inch low was able to take half a can of brake fluid.

I agree with Kevin --

The brake fluid has to be near the full level- I'll bet the guy that did the brakes bled too much fluid out when he did them.
If the level goes down again you will need to look for a leak.
