When it does this, try to listen for the fuel pump running for one second at the rear of the vehicle with the key on, but not turned to start. If the fuel pump works, then try replacing the fuel filter. A badly plugged fuel filter may cause starting problems.
Old spark plugs, with too wide a spark plug gap may also cause starting problems.
You should also have you car scanned for free at a local auto store, if you don't have a scanner.
