Default 1st to 2nd Gear Grind After Reversing

Hello,

I'm a newbie and am looking for some advice.

I have a 2006 A6 3.2 S-Line. I just recently noticed after taking the car out of reverse and accelerating from 1st to 2nd gear, I feel a slight grind from the acceleration pedal. But after that I do not feel any more grinding. This only happens when I take the car out of reverse. I took it to the dealer and they stated that everything was fine. But I still feel the grinding.

Any suggestions or assistance to a newbie Audi owner would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Drake

If you can feel a grind but not hear it, then its probably just the cold weather. The torsen diff (quattro) will grind and make noise when turning or when its cold normally, so its nothing to worry about.
Now if you develop a grind from the 1-2 shift, and you hear it clearly, then you might have a problem.

Would this happen even though the engine has been running for awhile? And why would it just happen when I take it out of reverse? Thanks AudiTech79for your help and advice I really appreciate it!
