Default 2.7T AWE S-Flo Intake

I was looking around and came across this intake by AWE.

It looks good and all but I was wondering if anyone has one installed on their 2.7T and if you can tell a difference or not.

Thanks,
Michael

There is a write up on AW about aftermarket intakes for the b5s4 (2.7) and from what I remember there were some issues with heatsoak. Some opinions stated there was indeed heatsoak, while others argued that the product was helpful. I will try and search for the thread so you can read the info first hand.

I think most aftermarket intakes do not work well because it requires the removal of the factory airbox; which the end result will be "heatsoak" and reduced horsepower.

I also think that the "S-FLo" is a little different, because it mounts inside of the factory airbox; which of course will shield and protect from "heatsoak". Whether it adds additional HP, I am unsure, but I could see it helping your car breathe a little better.

There is NO HEAT SOAK from the AWE unit. It fits inside the stock airbox.

I noticed better throttle response, & the engine didn't feel flat up top.

When logging, I noticed 15 g/s increased flow @ WOT.

Since it's in the airbox you don't hear it like other open element filters.
