Default 2.8 heads with 2.7 cams

I haven't been able to find anything on this here or in other forums. Lots of people say that swapping the entire head, cams and all with give you a loss of torque due to the increased duration on the cam profile. Does anyone have information on running the 2.7 cams in the 2.8 heads? I want to keep the torque down low but get some extra flow. I figure that even if I only go k04 the RS4 used bigger heads and other intake parts for something.

I just want to know if keeping the 2.7 cams in the 2.8 head is worth a damn.

Default There should be a distinct part of the forum dedicated to brilliant ideas

Unless you replace the crankshaft along with the camshafts - the torque gain would be negligible.
Just kidding.

I envy you in regards of the scale of your free time ...

Believe me there is nothing to be envious of. I don't have a family or a wife so all my free time is essentially me time. and being a part time college student I don't live glamorously either ha
