Check with your local Audi dealer -- there was a recall on coil packs and they will reimburse you for the work if you qualify. I'm not sure it covered Y2K and my office is packed, so I cannot get at the letter from Audi.

Coils 1-6(5x.xx a piece) made him about 34x.xx
Spark plugs 1-6(50.00 a piece) made him about 300.00
Air filter: Unknown
Gas filter: Unknown
Power module: 250.00(from my local audi dealer)
He made me pay about $100 for inspection
I guess whatever else was labor?

Going to buy myself a vag-com rather this week, or next week. I plan to start doing a lot of DIY's so I can't get ripped :P

I just decided to pay him since, I needed my wheels.

$300 for spark plugs. Nice, they must be space age technology that no1 else has. spark plugs are no more than $12 each for our cars, sometimes you can find them for $6 each. Power module? Our cars dont have a power module, the engine makes power, lol. Gas filter is like $25 the most. If you're rich then pay and who cares, but if your in any way middle class->poor you just got ripped off. All of it would have costed you no more than $500 and 2-3 hours worth of lazy work.

............... Thanks for telling me. Next time it happens, I'm just gonna do it myself -_-....

Oh but, it might not be called "power module" that's just what he told me. I could show a picture of one of the two he replaced, just give me a moment to take a picture.

So the one on the left is the new "power module" or whatever the name may be.
