2001 2.7T transmission service
Hi everyone,
I know it's supposed to be a popular topic but I've been researching it for the last couple of hours andhaven't been able tofind a decent answer.
My A6 has 130000 miles on it and it looks like the transmission oil has never been changed.
I know it's supposed to be maintenance free, but I heard that with high mileage, it's better to change the oil if one doesn't feel like changing the tranny. Could someone please provide me with some feedback on this or some links to the threads that might talk about this matter.
Thanks

YUP, it never will be done by Audi. It's a LIFETIME thing.
IT's TOTAL BS!
I changed mine at 60kmi & it was NASTY, totally black (suppose to be red) & smelled.
Get a case of fluid & filter kit & have your local shop flush it.
If you want to DIY, so a little search, it's a PITA, and you need 4 jack stands, & a hand pump for the fluid.
