2001 4.2 a6 fast??
My friend has one of these and always boasts about how fast it is, but i drove it and wasent impressed at all. It has borola exaust but i doubt that makes a difference. What do you think its 0 to 60mph is??

you have the stats for the 2005+ the 2001 4.2 a6.....
When it comes to luxury sedans, the A6 is not the quickest bunny in the forest -- nor is it the slowest. It can do the 0-to-60-mph sprint in about 9.3 seconds, and covers the standing quarter-mile in about 17.2 seconds. Like many German sedans, the gearing is tweaked more for high-speed cruising than for off-the-line acceleration. But the A6 packs more than enough juice for everyday city driving, with ample reserve power for freeway passing.
and it says it has only 300hp...i do not consider 9.3 seconds very fast. What is the a4 1.8t stocks 0 to 60?

the 2.7T is much faster mostly due to weight, it's 250hp v6 twin turbo is much lighter than the 4.2's heavy 300 hp v8.
