2001 A6 2.7T Auto Transmission problem. Any Suggestions?
Hi Guys
I have a 2001 Audi A6 2.7T Automatic with triptronic option. I had the transmission oil resently changed and about 500 miles after it was changed the transmission started acting up. At first it started shifting hard from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th when going up hill. Then a few hundred miles latter every once in a while when puting it into D (drive) the "D" doesnt light up on the guage. All other gears light up except "D" and when that happens the transmission shifts hard in all gears. A few hundred latter the transmission goes into fail safe mode at times, and when it does it wont go into triptronic (manual) mode. The thing is its on and off so I believe the transmission should still be fine just maybe a sensor or something??? Any ideas???

Highlited PRND432) then you should have a code in the tranny stored. Scan the transmission for codes. Buy a vagcom from eBay it's 10 dollars and the software is free from rosstechs website. Without codes it's hard to get a proper diagnostic. It's just, try replace this, now this ect ect.
