My car has started having shifting problems going from 4th to 5th gear. It's a real jolt. If I keep the shift lever in 4 instead of D the shifting is fine since it doesn't go into 5th gear. Anyone know what would cause this shifting problem?

 

Do A6's have a throttle position sensor? If the tranny computer is getting incorrect TPS position it may be shifting at the wrong time

 

Another thing is when shifting from park to 1,2,3,4 or D there is a jolt. Shifting from park to R is fine.
