i just bought my first audi , 03 a6 3.0 quattro and i would like to know.... 1. how do i know if it needs a timing belt ?, it has 98000 miles and no record or stickers anywhere that indicate that it has had one replaced. it runs seemingly perfect.... 2. my air bag light stays on ( only the airbag light ) and looking under the seats i can't tell which harness is airbag related, are there other things to check ?.... 3. has anyone else ever had water puddle on rear floor? i have not had it in the rain yet but the person i bought it from said his daughter left the window open and i just hope i haven't been scammed. carfax showed that a few years ago had been involved in an accident supposedly hitting a deer but it was being used as a demo then so anything coulda happened . thanks in advance and cheers to all who help each other in these forums. i hope to repay the favor some day for as long as this car is relatively good to me i will be an audi owner from now on.

The headlight should have a sticker somewhere on to of it that says when the last timing belt service was done. If you can't find one, chances are that it needs to be done very soon. The airbag control module is robably kabut, the module is inside the console. This is common for these cars. the water in the rear could have been caused by blocked sunroof drains. Also common.

Search this forum, I know its been brought up before. I have never done it so I couldnt tell you exactly. I doubt unplugging a drain needs a tech to do.

I would definitely replace the timing belt soon, it's far less expensive now than it will be to replace when it does go.
