Default 98 A6 Headlight Adjustment

Well as stated I have a 1998 A6 and I need to know how to adjust the headlights. They are Xenon HID and one just decided to drop...weird. Well I saw a white screw behind both lights and was wondering if that is it? Any pictures of the actual screw would be appreciated.

You will need either a VAS factory scan tool or a VAG COM to adjust xenon headlights.
There should be two white plastic adjustment screws yes but the headlight control module will adjust the headlights back to thier original position after the key is cycled.

Maybe you were parked on an incline or decline and the headlight adjusteditself or the headlight control module just had a blooper. As long as they are aligned now and no warning lights are flashing in the instrument cluster for it don't worry about it. If it happens again just cycle the key and see if it fixes it again. If it starts happening more often replace the headlight adjusting motor, they have been known to go crazy every now and then.
