does the a6 have roll bars in the doors to protect with side impact?
and does it have the mechanism to prevent your engine from ending up in your lap?

All cars sold in the US have door bars. All also use some scheme to make the engine go underneath the car in a front impact. All have some sort of roll over protection.

I just hate it when bars have doors - It makes it very hard to execute a quick get away!
