Hi guys,I'm a newbie so please advise if I'm not doing this right. My baby is an old 1999 2.4 a6.
On starting from cold she's perfect, then 5 min later, the rev counter stops,the oil light and warning light flashes and abs light comes on. The gearbox then loses 1st and 2nd gears and she becomes very sluggish and even manual shifts disappear. The gear indicator (PRND321) stops working and i can't feel any gear changes .She'll remain this way till ice cold, then cycle repeats itself. Changed battery 4 months ago, idle dropped to 400rpm, but everything else fine. Then now suddenly this
Can anyone please help before I have to take her to the agents ,( I'll most likely have to mortgage my house ), no-one else seems to be able to help.Thanx Willie t.

Scan the car(ross tech/vag com) for faults, save them and reset setting them.
