Default a6 spark plug problem??

hello audi lovers, i own a 1998 audi a6 quattro 2.8 and i changed the spark plugs on it about 2 weeks ago. But i did not change the spark plug wires.

Now recently my car has been ideling rough also sometimes when im in park and put it into gear the car dies out and i have to turn it back on.But while im driving it drives with no problem. When i went to autozone to get my check enginee light scanned, he told me that my cylinders are mis-firing and i need new spark plugs when i already brand new and put in.
WHAT COULD THIS BE? what is making my car die out like that?
could it be not having new spark plug wires? could it be the spark plugs that were not measured before putting in? Please if anyone has any ideas please let me know thanks for your time

Did you check the gap on the new plugs before you put them in? They may not have been set correctly.

I had the same problem when I changed the plugs on my wife's 2004 Passat. It had about 100,000 miles on it with original wires and I probably twisted the wires a little too much. New wires solved the problem. Also as already mentioned, checking the gap is always a good idea before installing any new plugs.
