What i did notice yesterday is the damp smell in the air while AC starts shutting down after running for few mins. Could it be the moisture inside the compressor which is causing the problem. I did see on youtube videos that ur supposed to dry the compressor first.

nope, very normal smell from an AC system. They can smell moldy or like a damp basement. They sell a cleaner you spray in your vents to try and kill the bacteria that is causing the smell. It is also normal for when your AC turns off on a hot day to smell damp and moldy. Again you can have the dealer spray their wonder chemical down your vents.

I know you don't want to hear this, but if you want it to work, you're going to have to pay to get it fixed. That or start buying yourself some AC repair basics, starting with R134 manifold gauges.

:P

No, i gotta take it for checkup. I just dont know where. I gotta find some reliable AC repair place in North NJ.

Oh btw, wat is general cost of fixing problems in AC. I know its too hard to tell without knowing the problem. But min to max, what is general range of fxing things in a air conditioner. What could it run down to? I don't wanna be charged for my ignorance

$150.00 - $2500.00. Since you replaced the compressor already, I would guess $150.00 - $750.00.
