Replaced the MAF and still acting funny
So, I replaced the maf because i was told by several people that know cars and audis, that my MAF seemed to be bad by the symptoms..well i replaced that today...and it still acts weird. When going to rev up the rpms dip before they actually go up, and if I try and push the pedal past half way the engine bogs down and hesitates for about 3 seconds then drives fine, then after about 15 minutes of driving the car goes into what seems like limp mode and wont rev higher than like 1.75k rpms . Also, if my memory serves me well this started up after an oil based drop in filter. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

You will go broke replacing parts on your car with out diagnosing the problem. The fuel pressure is?
Are there any fault codes stored in the ecm?
What is the fuel trim?
Replacement of parts without a diagnoses is like letting a blind person drive.

I had similar problems when replacing my MAFS. The problem ended up being, I when cheap and bought a cheap MAFS. I dished the money for a Bosch MAFS, and my b5 went completely back to normal.
What brand MAFS did you use?

I bought a Hitachi, it was a direct replacement of what was on the car. I do have a fault code for a tps saying the signal is too low. p1022 and I can't do a Throttle Alignment in Vag com it just says group not abailable. Is there any way to test the MAF? or anything like that

I had the exact same code for throttle signal too low. Did a TBA with the key, then did it in Vagcom and it worked. What value in Vagcom are you using to force the TBA? I found on my 99 30v, which is cable-driven, that I need to use the 098 value for a dbw car. The cable-driven cars often need to use 060 to do the TBA. Do it with the key, cycling the ignition, and then try Vagcom again. If one of the above values gives you an error, use the other.

In the upper left hand corner of the B5 forum page there's a grey button that says "New Thread." Go to the right of that and use the search feature first
