I have an '01 2.7T. 10 inch screw driver and 5 minutes. I didn't see what the big deal was. I took off the plastic hose between the air intake and the air box. unclipped the three clips (two on top and one on the bottom front side) pryed open the box, took out the old one, pryed open the box and put in the new one. Re-clipped (the bottom one was a lil pain), and put the plastic hose back on. I hope I didn't do anything wrong or mess anything up?[&o]

Haha there's not a whole lot you can do wrong or mess up when changing a filter. Aside from unplugging hoses, etc. Anything you could "screw up" in a filter change would be an easy fix. And anything you DID screw up doing the change would be immediately noticable at startup when it puttered out and died because you unplugged a vacuum line.

That was my mild attempt at sarcasm....lol. Just letting everyone know it's not as hard as some have made it out to be. I know I didn't mess anything up. This is my 16th vehicle (and I'm only 38) so I'm okay working on my own car. But this is my first German car and from some of the earlier posts, I thought it was going to be a completely different animal. Not a different animal, just a bit of a temper though
