Question Airbag occupancy sensor

Ok Holly bananas!!!

So it looks like my airbag occupancy sensor went bad on my 2005 a6 , I called the dealer and it looks like the sensor comes with the entire cushion and heaters. The price is $800, this is total usual Audi parts retarded pricing

So since I drive alone in this car %90 of the time i guess its not worth to fix however,

Does anyone know of a way around this problem?

Maybe a cheaper way to fix it?

It depends on who is with you the other 10% of the time. Victoria Secret model girlfriend -- get it fixed. Your offspring -- get it fixed. Your wife -- your call.

You will also need Vagcom to clear the airbag light when your done with the repair.

Sort of sucks I had two of those pads and sensors up until a couple of weeks ago they didnt sell on ebay so I threw them out as I was tired of all of those seat parts taking up space in the garage!
