It's 2:00 am Monday morning, i just finished getting everything back together after a timing belt and K04 install, but i pinched the driver side airbag sensor wire between the bumper/frame mounts so it doesn't reach the sensor. vagcom is showing it as an open circuit. can i drive it as is and be save in knowing that with the open circuit that the airbag simply can't be set off because it has no sensor, or will the thing take me out by surprise while I'm driving to work? I took it down the road for a test run already and would imagine that if the bag was going to deploy that it would have happened when i ether reattached attached the battery or turned the car on.
